Helping Provide Dignity
At an FTC Canada sponsored school in Nairobi, Kenya, young girls risk missing out on their education. A girl can be asked to grow up too fast in Kenya if suddenly she becomes the sole provider for ill family members, younger siblings and even extended family that can't cope.
Education is a key way to break the cycle of poverty. Poverty can mean not being able to afford basic hygiene products. Without proper feminine hygiene a girl will not attend school - missing five or more days each month. That is equivalent to missing 25% of the school year.
Partnering to empower young women
You can provide young girls in Central America and Africa with essential hygiene supplies so they can concentrate on more important matters: becoming strong, intelligent women able to break the cycle of poverty. We want them to enjoy the same opportunities our young daughters enjoy.
An FDK means a girl can attend school and get one meal a day because they have the following:
~
feminine hygenine supplies
~ soap
~ toothpaste and toothbrush
~ combs
~ hair picks
The FDK is wrapped with a beautiful scarf and shipped in a box (jpeg).
For just $9 you will help a young girl complete high school. Just $18 will give two girls the confidence to attend school. And $27 will ensure 3 teenagers will save their hard earned wages (a mere $1/day) for food and family. Thank you for giving these girls a brighter future!
Grace Fox is an author and speaker promoting the FDK at her speaking engagements in North America. Her passion is to help women become daring in their faith, deep in their convictions, and devoted in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Grace uses the written page and the public stage to build Christ-based confidence in audiences worldwide.
